Day 1: Cairo

Arrival at Cairo Airport. Meet assistance & transfer to the hotel for check-in & over night stay.

Day 2: Cairo – Marsa Matrouh – Seiwah

Following breakfast, we travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Marsa Matrouh, a city directly on the Mediterranean (distance: 460 km) where we stop for lunch. We then proceed to Seiwah (300 km from Marsa Matrouh). We will arrive at our hotel by sunset. We will have dinner and spend overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Seiwah

Following breakfast, we will visit Shali (Old Seiwah), the Oracle Temple of Alexander the Great (circa. 332 A.D) & the Cleopatra Spring. Following lunch, we travel to visit Amoun Temple & enjoy a walking city tour. Following our tour, we return for dinner and spend overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Seiwah

Following breakfast, we visit the Mount of Death where we will visit three tombs (circa. 500 B.C) which were also used in Roman times. Thereafter, we proceed to the desert expanse of Beer Wahid where we will have an authentic BBQ lunch. We will then return to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Seiwah- Bahareya

Following an early breakfast, we leave Seiwah to drive through the heart of the desert to Bahareya, a distance of 400 km. On this drive, we will experience fantastic desert landscape and stop to enjoy incredible desert scenes including the Great Sea of Sands, Albahrain, Setra and Alnawamis. We will have lunch and continue onwards to Bahareya. We will arrive later that evening; we will have dinner and spend overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Bahareya- Farafra

Following breakfast, we visit the two ancient tombs in Bahareya (circa. 500 B.C) which were also used in Roman times. We will visit the Mummies museum and then travel further to enjoy the magnificent splendor of the desert; first, we will see the Black desert and Agabat desert, and then the White desert where we will have lunch amidst the ethereal shapes of the rock landscape. We drive to Farafra (40 km from the white desert & 200 km from Bahareya). We will have dinner and spend overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Farafra – Dakhla

FFollowing breakfast, we will drive to Dakhla (300 km), where we will visit AL QASR Village, the Mozawaka tombs and the Dir ALHagar temple. We will have lunch during the course of this tour. Thereafter, we will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Dakhla – Kharga

Following breakfast we drive from Dakhla to Kharga, we will visit the Kharga museum, Bagawat tombs, Hibes temple, the Old Church and AL Nadoura temple. We will have lunch during the course of the tour. We will have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Kharga – Luxor

FFollowing breakfast we drive onwards to Luxor (275 km) ,on arrival we will check in to a Nile cruise ship . In the afternoon we will visit Luxor & Karnack Temples, the famous complex of temples built between 1,500 B.C. and 400 B.C. by many Egyptian kings, including the most famous of all, the temple of Ramses II. We will stay overnight on board.

Day 10: Luxor – Edfu

Following breakfast, we leave to visit the Valley of the Kings (the famous tombs of the Pharaohs), Madinat Habu (Ramses III Temple -the most revered colored temple) and Memnon Colossi. We then head back to the cruise ship to sail overnight to Edfu crossing the Lock of Esna.

Day 11: Edfu – Kom Ombo – Aswan

Following breakfast we disembark the cruise ship and travel via Hantour (carriage) to visit Edfu temple, the most complete temple built during the Greek period between 300 and 100 B.C. We then continue sailing to Kom Ombo, where upon arrival, we leave the cruise ship to visit the temple of Kom-Ombo (two temples in one, which were built in the Greco-Roman period). We then head back to the cruise ship to sail overnight to Aswan.

Day 12: Aswan

Following breakfast, we visit Philae Temple, which was also built in the Greco-Roman period. The Temple was removed from a flooded island to Agilika Island between 1972 and 1980. We then visit the High Aswan Dam built during President Nasser administration (1960-1971). In the afternoon we enjoy a quiet Felucca sail on the Nile, & thereafter, experience a city tour to see an Aswan traditional market. We then return to the cruise ship, where we spend overnight on board.

Day 13: Aswan – Cairo

Following breakfast, we drive to Aswan airport to fly to Cairo (a 90 minute flight). On arrival in, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Thereafter, we visit the Egyptian Museum. Once our museum visit is complete, we travel to the famous Cairo bazaar of Khan-El-Khalili. We will then have dinner at a local restaurant and spend overnight at the hotel.

Day 14: Giza

Following breakfast, we visit The Great Pyramids of Giza (circa. 25th century B.C) of Egyptian Kings, Khufu (known in Greek as Cheops), Khafrà (in Greek, Chephren) & Menkaurà (in Greek, Mykerinos) and the great Sphinx. We will then have lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, we visit the Egyptian museum and then the traditional bazaar of Khan-El-Khalili. We return to the hotel for dinner and over night stay.

Day 15: Cairo – Home

Hotel breakfast is followed by escort to Cairo International Airport for your scheduled return flight home.
